Maximize ROI with Our Supply Chain Consulting Services
New Horizon Consulting Services gets you up and running quickly, inexpensively, and with minimal risk. We have done implementations in as little as one month. With our approach, you get value from your solution faster and at a low total cost of ownership (TCO). To accomplish this, New Horizon starts with preconfigured industry templates and then uses our time-tested methodology to tailor the solution to your needs.
The Five Phases of New Horizon's Implementation Methodology
New Horizon follows a five-phase implementation methodology as outlined below.Â
Define
New Horizon goes beyond technical implementation to provide a holistic solution which best fits each client’s overall long-term strategy as well as existing system architecture. We start with a pre-assessment process in which we work with you to understand your business. Then our certified consultants assist your team in defining business requirements and establishing KPIs. The business requirements are ranked to establish priorities.
Design
After the business requirements are determined, New Horizon produces a solution design to meet these requirements. This includes product and location hierarchies, workflows, integrations, and other elements of the solution.
Build
Once the solution design is approved by the client, New Horizon consultants configure the software. The result is a functional solution tailored to the needs of the client’s business. To enable the exchange of transactional and plan information, we build integrations between New Horizon and the client’s ERP systems. Integration with Oracle ERP Cloud is native, and we can easily connect with other solutions, cloud or on-premise.
Test
After the solution is built, our consultants will work with the client’s core users to do functional, integration, and user acceptance testing. Functional testing ensures that the solution meets the business requirements. Integration testing confirms that data passed between ERP systems and New Horizon is clean, stable, verifiable, accurate, and complete. User acceptance testing (UAT) ensures that general users are properly trained and verifies that the system is performing as planned. Prior to UAT, core users will have been trained during the functional and integration testing stages.
Realize Value
Once testing is complete and any outstanding issues have been resolved it is time for launch. To prepare for go-live, training materials and documented standard operating procedures are completed. A successful go-live signals initial project success. After that, you will want to monitor and report on system performance, including business KPIs. We recommend doing a business impact analysis after the system is in operation for 6-12 months so that we can understand the actual business value of the project and make adjustments as needed.
Training
As part of the testing and launch processes, New Horizon supports the training of your staff with educational materials and live training sessions. These materials are available for refresher training as well as onboarding new planners. Additional custom training programs are also available.
